Electronics and Communication Engineering

The Department of Electronics and Communication was started during the academic year 2002-2003 with an intake of 60 students to impart quality technician education by offering three year Diploma in Electronics and Communication Engineering. The department has a team of well dedicated, devoted, experienced and hard working faculty members comprising of 1 Head of Department and 6 Lecturers. The laboratory facilities are constantly updated for imparting effective training to students in emerging areas of technology as per the requirements of the industries with the help of funds provided by AICTE under MODROBS scheme and Up-gradation of Polytechnics Scheme of MHRD, Govt. of India. The department procured latest laboratory equipments to the tune of Rs. 10,67,400/- during 2009-10, Rs. 3,56,495/- during 2012-13, Rs. 10,50,000/- during 2013-14 each under AICTE MODROBS Scheme and Rs. 10,11,075/- under Up-gradation of Polytechnic Scheme of MHRD.

The Department laboratories are equipped with latest Test and measuring instruments, Power supplies, Signal Generators, Fibre optic communication trainer kits, Advanced Communication system trainer kits, VLSI trainer kits and Embedded System trainer kits, OrCAD PSPICE Software (Ver. 16.6) with 5 user Licence, 40 numbers of Desktop Computer systems with UPS etc to meet the current technological advancements. The department is housed in a building with a total built up area of about 375m2 with two spacious classrooms, three laboratories and two staff rooms, with adequate student amenities.
