Mechanical Engineering

The Department of Mechanical Engineering was started in the year 1995. The Department is the largest in the college in terms of students intake with around 250 students opting for Mechanical Engineering in I year. The Department has well equipped laboratories and workshop having latest machine tools and sophisticated instruments.

The Department has a good team of well qualified, experienced and hard working faculty members with industrial, teaching and research background. The Department conducts seminars, workshops, training sessions and symposiums to expose the students to the latest trends in Mechanical Engineering. The Department has a mission to produce well equipped engineers to face the highly competitive market place.

Acivitities Of The Department

The Department is closely monitoring the current industrial scenario and to maintain close contacts with several reputed organizations like Regma ceramics, PPCL, Leo Fastenex thereby enabling the students to undergo in-plant training during their vacation. Regular industrial visits have been undertaken so that students have an idea of practical exposure from the industries. The Department also provides placements from reputed organizations for the students.
